Origins
In the early months of 2009, Laura Kagy conducted a community production of Grease; its actors were middle/high schoolers from Iron River and Forest Park. It was a rousing success, and most came back later that year for the summer production of Aladdin, Jr., and even more people also participated. Some even approached from as far away as Iron Mountain! As the years continued, more people came, though some left after graduating high school, coming back as members of the audience or later on when the productions were open to adults. The spring productions became open to adults beginning with The Sound of Music, though some adults had appeared as extras and chorus members in previous productions such as Cinderella.
